Let’s Get Recording

Below you will find a short video series that takes you though the process of setting up your phone to record your videos, planning your content, and sending me the footage to be edited.

A simple camera setup is all that is needed with a phone tripod.

The last thing that we want is for your phone to run out of space when recording!

An evenly lit room will do the trick for most people. We can get into additional lighting like ring lights etc.. in the next version of this series.

This type of video content is really all about what you’re saying as opposed to how fancy the camera is that you’re using.

Pre-production is probably the most underrated part of any video project. If we can nail pre-production the rest is easy!

If you aren’t familiar with speaking on camera, or even if you are, it can be extremely helpful to have me in the room with you (virtually) to guide you through the delivery of your content.

If you have a physical space that you would like to capture to add to your videos, here are some tips for capturing that footage using your phone.

Once the footage is shot, I will send you a link that you can use to upload the video files from your phone. You will not need a dropbox account to do this, just the link that I send you!

Once I have created a rough cut of your video(s), I will send you a private link with a password to watch the video. You can then provide feedback and I will make any changes. Once you’re happy, you can download the video files to be used on your social media!

If you’re sitting close to your phone in a relatively quiet room, the audio from your phone will be fine! If you would like to try some more advanced audio, I will cover that in a future video.

One of the main challenges with video content is the “maybe next year” approach that is often taken. Let’s not wait five years to get started, let’s get started today! You can send me an email to find out if this is right for you.
